We stayed home for Labor Day and checked out our local festivities. Saturday we met up with Jenni & the kids and her niece Kaylee for the movie in the park "Up". Thankfully it didn't rain, so we bundled up, packed some snacks and settled in for the show.
Sunday we checked out the booths and Alex played in the kids area-they had bouncy houses and face painting too!
Monday was the parade. The kids got a ton of candy (isn't that what parades are about??) and loved watching everything go by. Since it's an election year the parade was a bit longer than usual with all the candidates walking. We even saw Dino Rossi & Dave Reichert-local celebrities!
I don't know who these guys were but they were really funny!
It's Black Diamond after all...of course there's going to be tractors!

After the parade we went to check out the museum. We only made into the train before Alex had a minor meltdown. Oh well, we can check out the museum any time!
